Where do I start?

Creating the perfect cake can be a little overwhelming to some. First, we suggest that you browse through our cake galleries to spark your imagination. Then consider how many guests you are expecting to your evemt. Start thinking about flavors; we offer several cake flavors for our custom cakes. After you’ve chosen your flavors it is time to let our decorators make your cake a work of art. How much notice do you need to create a custom cake?

Custom cake orders require two weeks notice. Your deposit of 30% is due at the time of ordering. Custom creations take time and labor and sugar decorations need to be made in advance, so it's best to start planning with us as soon as you set your event date so that we can help you design something perfect.

 

How much do custom cakes cost? 

It depends. The number of servings and the complexity of the design both factor in to the final price. With so many sizes and design options, the cost is really up to you! On a budget? Don't be afraid to mention your price range. We'll work with you to provide a cake perfect for your event and your wallet.  Buttercream flowers and an inscription are the standard decoration that comes with the price of the cake. You can see base prices and servings on our menu page. We offer drawings, picture scans, 3-D cut outs and rolled fondant designs for additional charges. The more decorations that need to be made for a cake, the higher the final cost.  Keep in mind that each custom cake is a unique creation, made just for your event by skilled artists.

 

How much is a deposit and when is it due?

Deposits are typically 30% of the final cost of the cake. They are due at the time the order is placed. Once your deposit is paid, we will reserve your place on our baking schedule. You are welcome to stop by the bakery or pay by phone with a credit card.

 

Do you make wedding cakes?

Absolutely! Our wedding cakes are priced per serving. The base price for a wedding cake includes satin ribbon around the base of the tiers and silk flowers on top. The final cost of the cake will depend on the complexity of the design.

 

How do I order a wedding cake?

You'll need to set up an appointment for a consultation at least three months before the event date. Bring your fabric swatches and any inspiration photos you've collected. Having a guest total will help us provide you with an accurate cost estimate. We will help you design your wedding cake and work with you until you are satisfied with the way it will look and taste. Once you sign the contract and pay your deposit, your date will be reserved. We only book a limited number of wedding cakes per any given date to ensure the quality of both taste and design. During the spring and summer months, dates fill up fast so it's best to make your consultation appointment as soon as you can!

 

Do you provide cake tastings?

Yes we do! Tastings are done by appointment only for you and up to three other guests. You will get to sample an aray of our most popular flavors, typically between 6-8 different cakes. Tastings are $25 and the cost of the tasting will be subtracted from the balance of the total cost of the cake should you sign a contract with us.
